Apple have today announced via the Apple Developer Mailing Lists that Java SE 6.0 Release 1 Developer Preview 1 is available for download for Intel based Macs.
This is a welcome addition for Apple Java developers as it hopefully signifies the end of lengthy timescales between new releases of Java being available for other platforms long before being available on the Mac.
